Maqui Chilean Wineberry Tree (aristotelia chilensis)

Late spring brings small white flowers that yields a small edible fruit around year 6 to 7. The mature tree can produce as much as 20 to 25 pounds of these small, purple, blackberry flavored berries in a season. Berries are used raw, dried or transformed into jams and syrups.
